Have you ever thought about living the life of your dreams? Of course you have! But what if you could actually turn your dreams into reality? Many people have reached their goals by doing just this and in this article, I show you how you could manifest your dream life with creative visualisation.

What is creative visualisation?
Creative visualisation is when you create images and scenarios in your mind, either with your eyes closed or open. Some people might call this daydreaming, but this term can be negatively associated with people who only ever dream and don’t take action or really believe it’s possible to reach their goal.
For the purposes of creating your dream life, creative visualisation is a more powerful process. You can use it with determination and purpose to shift your mindset and move forward into manifesting your dream life.
Creative visualisation is an exercise that is used when practicing the Law of Attraction. As thoughts are energy, you can raise your vibrational frequency and bring yourself into alignment with your dreams, desires and goals by using creative visualisation.
How you could manifest your dream life with creative visualisation
Sitting just once or twice and dreaming of what you would like to manifest, is unlikely to bring you what you desire. Therefore, you need to get into the habit of practicing creative visualisation every day, or at least as often as you can.
There is no given length of time to how long it will take before you manifest your dream life. Trust that all the while you are taking action to work towards your goal and spending time visualising your end result, you are moving more into alignment with your dream life.
In addition to using creative visualisation, you could also create a physical visual reminder of your dream life. Some people choose to use vision boards or journaling to do this. Both are excellent exercises and by placing your visual reminder somewhere where you will see them on regular basis, ideally each day, you reinforce your desire to achieve those goals.

Creative visualisation exercise
This simple creative visualisation exercise is easy to do and I would recommend getting into the habit of practicing this each day. In doing so, it can reinforce your belief in successfully reaching your goals.
Find a time that best suits you, when you will be relaxed and in a place you won’t be disturbed. I choose to practice creative visualisation each evening, when I am relaxed and just before I fall asleep. However, there may be a time more suitable for you, such as first thing in the morning on waking and before you get ready for your day.
Before you start this exercise, it is really important you drop all beliefs and preconceptions of never being able to achieve the life of your dreams. During this exercise your focus will not be on where you are now, although placing an emphasis on being grateful for the present time is an equally important step in moving forward.
- Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to help calm your mind and body.
- Think about the goals you would like to achieve in order to live your dream life. This might be your dream job, a new home, having more confidence, or a new relationship. Hold those thoughts in your mind for a moment.
- Visualise yourself living the life of your dreams. In your mind, create a picture of what your end goals and dream life look like. Be as creative as you can possibly be.
- Climb into that picture in your mind; place yourself into your dream life. Use all of your senses to do this. Imagine what you can hear around you, how you feel, what you can see, smell or even taste.
- Are you driving a different car? Are you opening the front door to your ideal home? Do you have a different job? Are you filled with confidence? Have you healed from a health condition that has been affecting you? What about the loved ones you have around you in your life? Are you travelling to all the places you wish to visit around the world?
- Push your creativity and vision further, like you are turning up the volume, colour and brightness on your life.
- Then hold your creative visions in your mind for as long as you can. Really feel part of your new life. In your mind’s eye, act as though you already have this life.
- When you are ready, slowly bring your awareness back to your surroundings. How has this exercise made you feel?
- Practice this same exercise as often as you can, ideally every day.
